amp/sub got very quiet and only plays when amps hot

Ok i need some help please. So I turned my car on the other day and the base ****** but it slowly got better as the amp got warm. It has gradually gotten worse over the past few days to were now it hardly makes noise till its burning hot. I checked the ground and my sub their both fine. Its a p3 wired to two ohms going to a Kenwood 1000w max

sounds like a slight short. disconnect the amp until this is resolved or you can damage the amp (if it isn't already). check over all wiring at the amp and in the sub box. measure resistance between the speaker leads and woofer terminals to verify (with them disconnected).

box terminals can short out.

i suspect a short is robbing the subs of current until the amp just powers through.

The box terminal had rattled loose go figure thanks a ton man.
