my amp shuts off when i turn my head unit up to like about 30 (max is 50) and when it hits a hard bass, my amp shuts off....it is a four channel amp, i had 2 subs, but i unplugged one(cause one alone sounds best) and i have that one bridged on the rear...because my HU has "rear" written on the output wires...what do i do?...i knwo it's not getting hot cause i don't run it for that long....

i have it bridged RR+ and LF-

should i bridge it Rf+ and Lr-?

i haven't tried it since i hooked it to the rear, i had it hooked to the front, maybe that's waht the problem was...i will drive around and see

well it did the same thing, it cuts off

but it gets worse the more i drive, it flickers on and off....could it be my battery, i have battery problems....sometimes i have to boost it off

hey if the jenson is the and make shure you are running at least 10 gauge power and ground with a 30 amp fuse. I had the same problem before. Your running your amp dry it's thristy feed it more.

when bridging a four channel amp you are supposed to bridge the rear to rear and front to front. Doing front to rear or rear to front with not give any more power just require more tuning. On most 4 ch. amps the rear channels have the lp xover (lp stands for Low pass) in turn means bass. so if i were you i would run both subs in parallel. Lowering the inpedence and increasing wattage. And hook them up to the bridged rear ch. just a little tip.

oh i understand now. I guess my sisters aren't the only ones in my family who are blondI understand now, I guess my sisters aren't the only blonds in the family

they were the only orange ones i could find....leave me alone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif...lol

if i ran them in a parelleelelelle whatever....wouldn't that fry my amp?...i have the wire that came with the amp kit....i dunno what gauge it is...the box says 4 gauge, i am a newbie at this shit, i dunno nothing about it....

on my instructions for my subs it says "two 4-ohm speakers, wired in a parallel to a bridged two-channel amplifier will present a 2-ohm load to the amplifier. MOST TWO-CHANNEL AMPLIFIERS DO NOT SUPPORT 2-OHM MONO OPERATION! AMPLIFIER DAMAGE COULD RESULT!" and then it has a line through a smiley face lol

so if i parallel them, wouldn't that mean it is pulling more watts from the battery, causing it to shut off even more frequent?
