Amp problem

I've got a hifonics brutus 1500 watt amp and when i start my car sometimes the subs will play for a little at low volumes but most of the time not. I installed a new pioneer yesterday figuring that would be the fix to my problem but im kind of lost what to do next. the leds on the amp light up, my bass knob lights up for a second and than goes blank and i get no sound from my subs. Any ideas what this could be?

or a short in the speaker wiring. it only takes one wire strand to cause issues. go back over all connections, make sure you used properly sized terminals that are well protected - if you see any bare copper then you should fix the connection. i prefer to solder proper terminals then heat shrink them.
