amp problem

i can't comment on optisdrives' reliability, cause i only had mine for a few weeks until i blew up my l7's with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

as for power, yes, it was a beast

it was an opti2000d

the things are way bigger and heavier than they look in pics, and actually much ncier looking as well...

meh. ill stick with my alpine MRV-1507. THAT thing is a beast...
so what do you guys think i should do.I did my research and alot and most people said this amp was very impressive and put out rated or very close at 14.4 volts.Should i try upgrading the wire?I dont know i feel like i got ***** here i spent 350$ on this amp and its no where near as loud as the bx1205d.

alright update i took the 4 gauge that was running to the distro block and ran it straight to the amp,And it got alittle louder not a little but not alot you know?Anyways the next thinkg im gonna do si get alittle more 4 gauge wire and do my ground that way becasue right now i only have 8 gauge to the ground. If that doesent make it loduer is it worth it to upgrade to 2 gauge wire? Thanks guys

Upgrade to 2 gauge all around, and if you can afford it, do 1/0 awg. and about the 8awg ground wire, the reason it sounds a lil ouder is cuz current is like water. it flows in a circuit, but only as fast and as much as the most restrictive point, which is teh 8awg. So really its like only running 8 awg still.

ya i will upgrade ny wires to 1/o then just 2 guage to the amp from the distro block. Also my gains are set right around 2 where my hu is and also i tried 4,5,3 ect and it didnt make it louder .Also it got louder with bass boost but i shut that off since i know its bad.Is it ok to have it on in this situation though? One more thing anyone know of some cheap 1/0 gauge wire how about that tsunami one i gave a link to?thanks.

ya cuz i can make it jsut as loud as my bx1205d with bass boost is this bad though?thats what i was wondering as well.
