Amp Problem

Had the system at about 70 and the bass just cut out. I checked all the wiring and I have a breaker under the hood thats not tripped..

Looked at the amp and not even my protection light comes on. I'm not sure the problem, but I haven't checked the 2 fuses on the amp itself.

Any help...

first off check the fuses on the amp itself, and if thats not it since you checked the remote on the amp get a batt booster and run a wire from the positive on the booster to the remote " dont forget to ground the negative to the frame" and if the amp comes on then its ur rem wire or ur HU. but if not check your ground to make sure its still connected

Yeah. As posted above, check all the fuses, and doublecheck the breaker box. Get a multimeter and test to make sure you have voltage on the + and - at the amp. If not, the problem lies within the wire or breaker. And Im not sure if the car audio breakers work similar to home breakers, but they can sometimes appear to still be in the operating position, even though they are tripped.

While you have the mutlimeter out, turn the system on and make sure you have voltage to the remote terminal at the amp. If not, you either have a bad/piched/cut wire, or it is faulty inside the HU.
