amp not getting loud anymore?

i have a kicker ix1000 its only a month old, anyways i got in my car today turned my headunit up and the subs were barely doing anything at all the only way they get louder is if i turn the sub all the way up on my headunit and then go on the amp and turn bass boost and gain all the way up and its still not sounding anything like it has been.. is this amp fried??

one sub could be bad and its just moving because of the other sub's movement if they're in shared airspace.

blown subs are more likely than blown amp if the amp is still on without protection light.

the subs were perfectly fine last night when i got home, its just this morning its like theres no power going to them. the power light is on with no protection light on, ill just try to hook it to different subs and see what happens

Check the ohm reading of the subs.

i just checked the ohms and im getting exactly 2, i got this amp off hifisoundconnections it has a warranty so i can just send it right back

If the coils still give ohm readings then they are good, but you can have a torn tinsel lead or even bad suspension.

This may just be bad wiring or ground.

If it plays low, but after a few minutes does not play anymore then your ground is bad due to wire sizing or burned wires.

Just got new amp today and still not working. So i put back in my stock headunit with pac adapter and it works. I must've blown the preouts on my jvc headunit. Thank god for warranties

Did you by chance pull out or mess with the rcas when the car when on or the ignition was turned. You should never hot swap rcas.

That's what I was going to say it is prob rcas cord it self

Nevermind you said that you put a rca line out converter on it , did you try replacing rca cords
