amp going into protect?

ill have a look at it. maybe i need to get some paint off it. hope its as simple as a new ground. i found an amp i can borrow and hook up to see if its just my amp.

i finaly got home early enough to use a dmm and test the voltage drop. i think i found the problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i didnt have it up to where the amp cuts out but had it close and it went down to 11.5. maybe a little more. i think that ground wire under the hood was the problem. i made a new, much better, ground. couldnt test it cause its to late. should have time tomorrow to test it out.

if i need another battery could i just use my stock one and put it in the trunk? at least for now? or for good?

ARE YOU RETARDED?!

Yeah, put an acid-filled plastic container in your trunk. That won't do anything bad.

yes i am.

this was actualy a lot of fun to fix. i just got back from my grandpa's funeral and cleaning out his old metal shop. i got to use some of his old tools to make a new ground spot. i still got it to go into protect but this time both my amps did it lol. so i think its time for another battery... it felt like my car was going to explode.

Yeah...

You should stop doing that.

Over time low voltage will kill your amp.
