Amp cutting out? Any idea why

i put an RL-i powered by a orion 3002. For some reason now when i was playing I want to Fuck you by akon it would cut off when playing hard and then come back on 2 or 3 seconds later. Any idea why this would be occuring. When it cuts off the amp turns off. Any help would be great.

Also it sounds great while its playing and the amp is only warm to the touch

strange indeed. Did u double check all grounds. I know one time I had a problem with my fuse holder messing up. When I would hit a bump it would cut out and then come back on. I just put a new fuse in and it works fine now

I noticed this with my orion 1200d It happend when i had it wired at .5ohms...Maybe its going into protect?

Yea I would watch the amp light to see if it going into protect or if its just shutting off due to power/ground problems.

dont know. i hooked it up to the remote turn on from the amp today instead of having the turn on in a switch directly from the battery. Ill check the grounds again though to see it it helps

your wire/fuse may be too small to feed the necessary current to your amp

the light turns off. I dont know if this amp has protect . It definitly doesnt have a protect light unless the led turns a different color.

true but i think im using a 60 amp fuse. Its whatever comes with the knu kits

Yea if its green normally protect is usually red...on my alpine blue is normal and flashing blue is protect

the output is pretty good for an 8. Def fits my dads needs. Amazing sq but the stock sub is still in there and i cant figure out how to get it undone which takes away from it a little when your not sitting up front
