amp blew PICS

^^must be nice!

With the addition of my second battery, i can stay above 13.0 at lights..still not bad for stock alt and 3/0 wire with the fz3800

But, after reading this about alternator crapping out killing an amp, ft!

Well when it ran i stayed above 13v even at idle, but my truck has done this from time to time i just never had my system playing full tilt so i never damaged anything

what the fuck? I can't sit at a light without it dropping 200-300 and making my truck jump and ****. i dont understand why yours is acting like theres no alts.
I forget what year yours is. My throttle isn't even connected to the gas pedal. It's all electronic. Everything is monitored and controlled by the computer. When the alts load down and the tach needle drops a tiny bit, the engine revs back up to normal.

Only time my engine has ever bogged down is when we load tested everything and pulled over 1k amps from the electrical system total. Dropped my voltage all the way down to 9v //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

That was with the five Exide batteries and quad alts. I think I could pull a lot more with my current bank, haha

it's a 2000, yeah there's actually a throttle cable on mine. it adjusts just like yours does but maybe its much much slower. also maybe because your load is distributed the computer is already increasing the throttle to maintain idle

About the FSD amps vs others the way they sound..

When you say the FSD sounds more punchy than others.. That almost sounds like Damping factor difference or a shift in your sub(s) group delay response whether a shift in amplitude or FR completely.

Countless times ive been full tilt approaching a stop and the engine has died. Thats not counting the numerous times ive had to lower the volume to save the motor just before stalling.

I dont ever think ive seen lower then 11.7 during this current pull lol.

Hmm.. Wasn't at least 1 FSD amplifier put on a Dyno?

IF i'm not mistaken, wasn't it's dynamic measure respectable?

If i had access to one of their monos, i could put it on our system to measure FR all the way down to 1Hz and post it's results.
