i'm just saying that that should have been taken into account, seeing as how a broken cd player and broken ****** would both count as 1 yet differ in cost by a lot.

3 years proves nothing ... All of the vehicles are still under warranty, so it doesn't really matter (except from a convienience standpoint) ...

pretty amazing that toyota beat every other car in it's price range.. the only cars above toyota START at 21 grand for the stripies, and most of em are luxury cars up to 90 grand.

i'm impressed.

Not really, though...

Toyota has the backbone of their business built very solidly on their reputation for building economical, uber-reliable transportation. I don't remember what year it was but within the last decade or so for one model year Toyota sold more Corollas worldwide than every other type of vehicle built that year combined (including other Toyota products)

That's why I bought my Prizm. I got a good deal on it and mechanically it is identical to the Corolla (was built in the same factory in CA as the stateside-spec Corollas, as a matter of fact)

Lincoln

Infinity

Buick

Hell most of those drivers for a 2002 model are sure as hell not pushing their car to its potential.. Toyota and Honda alone sold more cars in ONE year than all the top 6 combined.

Also in the TOP 15 names or so minus Ford and Chevy neither of those manufactures Sell a mid sized truck or larger TRUCK.. Caddys truck is just a Chevy and Lincolns is just a FORD.. Trucks get used harder and go through more physical abuse than sedans..

it seems as though everyone is hittin domestics over the head no matter what...do stats not count?

i dont think i'd still drive them if i felt they were p.o.s....though all models are different, maybe i just picked the good ones?

this thread was based on 3 yr's...though 3yr's of ownership means something does it not?

after 8 yrs the domestics are leveling out and the imports are still increasing...weres the 12 yr graph? no different from 3 to 8

Infinity near the top of the list and highest ranked cars have exact nissan copies. Here is my thought. My 97 nissan pathfinder has had no unscheduled maintenance in 90k except for a starter. Maybe the problem between the luxury brands and regular brands isn't the quality its the owner.

Chevrolet is keeping parts stores in business. Trust me I work in one.
