American bass xfl1244 recone kit??

Anyone know where I can find a recone kit for a American bass xfl1244 pretty sure sub I just bought is shot... Moves freely but makes a rattling noise at higher volume nothing I can see visibly is loose and I reglued the dust cap... Gonna check the coil ohm when I get home

fixmyspeaker or psi on caco should be able to quote you, but it might cost over $100 and the sub may not be worth that much idk it really depends

Call American Bass Direct Line. When i needed a recone for one of my XFL 15" Subs was $88 plus shipping so 12" should be a lil cheaper

i live about 45 min from bob. he is a pretty cool guy.
@mylows10 can get you them, or just call bob either way. he may be in the shop tomarrow

Coils read out 3.4 ohm each that's about normal isn't it?

If recones are $75 I think I'd just spend the extra 100 and buy a whole new sub.

especially if you've never reconed before. you could be wasting the money on that recone if its not installed right and the coil rubs, excess dust gets in the gap, etc.

Can the coil be junk if the read out is normal it moves freely so it's hard for me to think it's junk

yes there could be other issues with it, it's hard to say without seeing it myself. but if it makes abnormal noises its likely bad, but you should still check your amp as well.

What kind of warranty are you getting on the recone?

I'm not sure how much the complete subs are though.

i meant warranty for a new sub from sonic. i dont think youll get any type f warranty from a recone tho.

I got my 12" from mylows back in July for $195 shipped with warranty
