american bass xd3000d or mb quarts 2000? input pls

what do you think of both of the amps . i can get both for about the same price. i know the xd3000d is rated at a little bit more but has anyone used american bass and were you happy with there stuff. just need some input b4 i buy

i think the xd is stronger but i am not positive the dsc is a solid built amp tho maybe someone that has had both can chime in?

i know the dsc will handle .5 easily tho as well

so with a stock battery and stock 65 amp alt ill get 2200 out of the mb?

I run a pair of American Bass XD2000's. I can tell you that that series of amps are severely overrated unlike most AB amps. At 1 ohm you shouldn't expect more than ~1600 wRMS.

Regardless, they are tanks and run very cool, can be run daily at lower than 1 ohm, and can run on 16 volt systems without a sweat. Running it at higher voltage levels can get you well over 2000 wRMS.

I would assume the XD3000 is similar, but I can't tell you for sure.

we just did a 2000 in an acura with 2 deka intimdators and a 60 amp alt and had minimal dimming and we were getting over 2200

and he only has 4 and 2 guage wire

2 extra batteries isnt really stock.

he doesnt have 2 extra batts just 1 and if ya look at the batts they are only 55ah standard agm car batts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif they are just sealed is all

1 battery up front and 1 in back stock electrical is all he has i.e. no ho alt ect.

the 2 batts together = 110 ah and i said 60-100 ah total on stock electrical.

he got the batts free so instead of doing just 1 100ah batt up front we used 2. you have to have 1 battery regardless of size so it is still basic as far as stock is concerned
