I'm getting frustrated I've had systems for 15+ years never ran into this issue.. upgraded my power wire to 0 gauge i've done the big three I have a 200 amp high output alternator check in rechecked all of my grounds and power connections everything is tight but my amp keeps going into protection when I'm driving it doesn't happen when I'm stopped or Inpark only when driving i've used my multi meter in my driveway at my battery and I'm 14.3 at my amp I'm 14.3 got a solid ground from my battery to my amp I got new rca's new rem wire and the battery is good The bass hits it drops to 13.5 I need help

In the 15 yrs of installing, you should know in case you didnt the #1 cause of failure of amplifiers is cyclic vibrational failure from mounting to a speaker box.

I cant give a definite answer since im not inspecting the amp right here but have good reason to believe the or at least A reason for it's issues is the cause of the protection system going off from loose joints on the board now.

2nd comes in as wiring too low where the impedance curve hangs too low during music playback in frequency ranges that should have been filtered out when wiring like that.

Im sure you have troubleshooted everything else so my advise would be to throw another amp in there and send the AB in for repair.

Cyclic failure is common repair obviously so since it still works is a good thing. Hopefully they should be able to find issue and fix relatively easy.

Lets not assume that is the official answer...

If its intermittent, they will all say that.

If you can find a way to duplicate it...

then at that point, pull it out of car and isolats it from the rest of your car wiring and try to duplicate it.

if it doesnt do it.. then its something in the vehicle.

If it does do it.... then send it to someone else and explain what you have to do to cause it to protect.

I have an earthquake amp 1 ohm stable 1000 RMS put that amp in my blazer when I sent the other one into get tested and I could not get that amp to go under protection The American bass amp is 3k rms so it's pulling a lot more power than the earthquake amp is and all of this started to happen my headlight switch to go bad was wondering maybe if it would backfeed and make my amp go to protection
