What size wire and fuse for 2000watts?

Maybe it's not 2000. But that's what my amps say. I have 2 1000watt Sony xm-zr1852's pushing a 12" kicker cvr each. I know u guys don't like kicker but it's what I got. Anyway, I still have the 8 gauge wire from my old amp and keep blowing the 40a fuse by the battery. What size power wire and fuse (by the battery) should I get?

2000w is SERIOUS power. Those amps are rated for 380w rms each, at minimum impedance.

Which cvr's do you have? Dual 2's or dual 4's? How are they wired? parallel? Series? Amps bridged? (You may be running 1, 2, 4 or 8 ohms per amp -- those amps are only stable down to 4 ohms when bridged -- 8 works fine too).

If you're running them at 1 or 2 ohms bridged, that would explain the fuses blowing.

8 awg on each amp? Should be fine. 8 awg for both amps isn't enough.

Need more info to get to the solution.
