Since you offered it up, at least tell me why you think it was a dumb idea, seriously. Just opinion or some other reason?im going to say that was a pretty dumb idea to hack out what you did, just to fit a box.
but oh well.
The "grill" is covered with speaker cloth, it's designed to let the sound through, so no shredding is going to happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gifYea i had to hack my car up a little bit but it was nothing that could not be repaired. Have you taken into consideration the port with that screen in front of the box? The air from the port seems like it would rip it to shreds.
I purposely bent the rear deck up to wire up the amps as I was too lazy to pull rear shelf & speakers. It's back down in the stock position now.Man, I thought my old 95 Altima with 3 12W1's wanged. Yours must be nuts. I gotta say though I think you should ditch the rear fill speakers cause it looks like they're causing the rear deck to bow.
Thanks. I'm really enjoying it so far. Only "rattles" are the rearview mirror which I'll fix today with some silicone now that I know how to remove it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gifThis thread snuck up on me and I just notice it tonight. Man, Im seriously impress mlstrass, thats a very clean box, (as usual) and thats some serious commitment to get it in the trunk and with zero rattles in the back. I know its loud and makes me want a pair of the Audioques myself.
My hats off to you sir for another great build, and nice review of the subs.
