Altima Build Log & Box Build - Pics

im going to say that was a pretty dumb idea to hack out what you did, just to fit a box.
but oh well.
Since you offered it up, at least tell me why you think it was a dumb idea, seriously. Just opinion or some other reason?

Just don't tell me the car is now going to split in two as the metal I cut out did NOTHING to structurally support any part of the car, other than the backs of the rear seats....

But there could be something I've overlooked, so I'm always ready to listen & learn.

Yea i had to hack my car up a little bit but it was nothing that could not be repaired. Have you taken into consideration the port with that screen in front of the box? The air from the port seems like it would rip it to shreds.

Man, I thought my old 95 Altima with 3 12W1's wanged. Yours must be nuts. I gotta say though I think you should ditch the rear fill speakers cause it looks like they're causing the rear deck to bow.

The "grill" is covered with speaker cloth, it's designed to let the sound through, so no shredding is going to happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I purposely bent the rear deck up to wire up the amps as I was too lazy to pull rear shelf & speakers. It's back down in the stock position now.

My favorite pic of them all.

This thread snuck up on me and I just notice it tonight. Man, Im seriously impress mlstrass, thats a very clean box, (as usual) and thats some serious commitment to get it in the trunk and with zero rattles in the back. I know its loud and makes me want a pair of the Audioques myself.

My hats off to you sir for another great build, and nice review of the subs.

Thanks. I'm really enjoying it so far. Only "rattles" are the rearview mirror which I'll fix today with some silicone now that I know how to remove it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

Now it's time to work on the front stage, get the XT25's on-axis and maybe do some fiberglassed lower door panels. Will need to do some research before attempting that one...

I'm VERY impressed with the AQ subs for daily: plenty of SPL and SQ is more than up to par. And the new ones will be mucho cheaper, so it might be time for you to pull the trigger and get a pair //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

he built my box too, gotta love his skill!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Box for the single sub was at 35Hz and this one is at 38Hz and I can't tell the diff, other than the 2 subs being louder/hitting harder. The 38Hz hits the lows with authority and beats my car to death...

A few guys on hear have heard it, so maybe they'll chime in.

Lets just say its is definitely loud as far as my standards. I need to invest in asprin when I go over there for a listen. Like na rsx says "the man got skills" Thats why I am paying him to help me with my setup. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But aren't you afraid that your car is gonna fall apart Mike i mean wasn't the piece of metal suppose to be there
