Alternator whining jeep cherokee 2000

Hey.. I just installed my new head unit, alpine IDA 305s, and a new optima in my front, d 31... My alternator is making a whining sound on and off randomly near the belt... Any help would be cool.. I think the alternator may be gone... If so looks like im getting a DC

could be as easy as the bearing getting old or in need of some oil, but it could also be on its way out.

Im gonna go to the store tom and get some lube for it, i put a little WD-40 on there for the mean time
