Alternator whine...with system off!!

Your getting ground loop noise.

Check, re-check, and triple check your grounds, then make them better.

Or browse the at least 2-3 threads on grounding RCA's and do that

does your car have a stock amp? If you haven't bypassed it may still be on. Other then that depending on how your system is wired your amp remote may be on ACC wire not deck remote. Also some pioneer decks still keep remote power when they are turned off manually meaning the car is still on. So pull your amp remote and see if your noise is still there when radio's off also.

Allright, heres what I found so far.

The amps do turn off when the HU is off

the noise is still there with RCAS disconnected, already had them grounded too.

The noise is only coming through the right speaker, coincidentally, the same side as my power wire...

I pulled the wires away from the power wire and the noise went away with HU off, but its still there with the HU on....!!!

It's possible you blew the pico fuse in your Pioneer while trying to determine the original issue. That would explain why you now have noise with the HU on but not off.

You can either use your warranty to have them replace it or search for p880 or p800 pico fuse to see how you may 'fix' it yourself.
