this reminds me of my electrical class during my high school days.

my mentor, who was also an electrician in San Diego installed an electrical circuit, (series, if I'm not mistaken) and suddenly, when he plugged it on, only two of the four bulbs lighted. What a perfect demonstration!

If that had been a series circuit, nothing would've turned on.

Rarely if EVER will you find a true series circuit in anything anymore, it's just too annoying to troubleshoot =(
