Just want to know how many amps from my alternator does my system need?

I have a fosgate 1000watt and another fosgate at about 300watts, and will be adding another 1000watt (all RMS) fosgate amp.

I have a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo.. i think the factory alt is 60amps, but any suggestions as to what alt i should get ?

A 60 amp alt is to small for your current system. Id say get at least a 90-120 amp alt. If your adding a 2nd 1000 watt amp then you''ll need a 180+ amp alt.

All the local alternator shops are telling me that the stock can only be upgraded to 90 or 100amps without modification... Is that true?

If so, is it expensive or worth the money having it done??

Appreciate the help

Well d class amps are pretty efficient, depends on how long your goona keep your ride. I would definiatly upgrade the alt before adding another amp though.
