Alternator Question???

i have 7 tvs and running 4 amps,2- are zx2500s.my voltage drops after playing a whole song from 14v to 11.9

the alt wont 'put out' amps, but componets will draw from it. I also would advise against getting one rewound. You may have a higher amperage at say 2200 rpm but at idle its gonna **** and you will have major voltage problems which is where most people run inot problems anyways, not cruising down the highway. Mechman gurantees 150amps at IDLE on most if not all of his alternators.

If the components are drawing current from the alternator then the alternator must be outputing or "putting out" current correct?

How many batteries are you running? I'm not saying that you couldn't benefit from a slightly larger alt but 180A should be plenty with good batteries to back it up.
