alternator over-drive pulley Q

The regulator would most likely prevent electrical damage, but you'll definitely shorten the life of the alternator, because it'll be continuously hotter. As far as what additional output you could expect, I'd have no idea.

the links on my computer at home so i don't have it on me, it was awhile ago when i saw it before i had my system installed so i never thought about it until the other week.

i'm pretty positive i do need a smaller belt. just wasn't for sure if it would be worth it, don't really need it right now anyways. Just thought if it would make a big enough differance and wouldn't hurt anything i might as well get it, ain't got the money for a HO alternator.

Depending on the pulley size difference a different belt wont be necessary. The tensioner will make up for it.

Stock pulley on my car is like a 3in iirc, my Iraggi alt has like a 2in. No slippage.

Just get a HO alt, be careful but an Iraggi can be had for the low on ebay.

With a stock alt changing the pulley size will not give you more output. It has to do with the windings inside the alt that determines the output amperage.

And changing pulley size doesn't mean you will have to change belts as well.Your tensioner shoud make up the differance. Its more for older vehicles without serpentine belt systems.
