Hey if i where you i would save up the money first then take your time & research which comp setup might be for you.

Since you dont want to spand much on Car audio, you can look into Pioneer-Massive audio-Hybrid audio- Morel Audio lower end.

The Alpines aren't that good for the money.

Oh those older Type X Alpines where made by Scan Speak Mids & Vifa Tweeters.

I'm not so sure who make the newer Type X.

 
Just google em? Lol. But I made a new thread about throwing in a HAT L6 7.1" midbass instead...but Im a noob, and was wondering if its really worth saving up another 2 weeks to get.

 
I've had two fords, this is what I did with my latest (Explorer). You can get thicker wood, and make sure your door panel fits on. This will let you put a deeper speaker in there.
