Alpine type-x?

I've been reading up and determined if I get components, these will be them. My only question is...why does crutchfield have them for $170 and everyone else higher. Crutchfield is usually UBER-exspensive. I also noticed it's labeled as 177A. On http://www.Alpine-USA.com it's 177R. Maybe they have a "test" batch or something and trying to get rid of them. If you look at Crutchfield's prices...the type-r components are more exspensive than the type-x! Any help would be appreciated!

IIRC, the 177A is a previous model and the 177R is the newest model.
