You cant wire a 4 ohm sub to 1 ohm only 2 you can wire 2 4 ohm to 1 but not 1 4ohm sub to 1 that might be confusing but there almost every website has wiring diagrams

Whats confusing is your run on sentence.

The Type X is a DUAL 4 OHM. It can be wired into a 2 ohm load (parallel) or 8 ohm load (series).

you got it...if you mean that if your amp puts out 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms,and your sub is 1000watts rms then yes
