gotcha man! thanks. i wonder when the 6.5" ones will be back in stock cause those are 305 shipped and they are 6.5's which is wat i wanted

If I get a chance, I am going to call them tommorrow to ask how long before they get the 6.5s back in stock. I will let you know what the status is.

I figure if I decide to go with the CXS then I can buy them even if they are backordered so that when they ARE back in stock I will get them for the sale price.

Last I heard the CXS's weren't backordered, they are just shipped on an order by order basis from ID to Sounddomain.

Ok, I just got off the phone with SD they said that if you order then now, they willl be back in stock anywhere from 1 week - 1 month MAX. He also said that the sale will be going on for a good amount of time. He didnt give me an exact ending date, but he said that the IDs should be on sale for a while. He also told me that if I ordered them now, they would not charge the credit card untill they got back in stock. Then when they recieved a new shippment they would charge you and ship them out.

I still need to hear a set, but I am really liking the IDs for that price and the 2ohm capability

I think I already said it in this thread...but ID has EVERYTHING in stock in their warehouse...why SD is saying they are on backorder is news to the guys at ID....

Worst comes to worst, add it to your cart on SD till you are ready to buy- it should stay at the price it was when you added it originally.

I'll be installing my CXS's this weekend IB in my doors powered off my Tru T-2.100 (200w/side). I'll try and do a review either this weekend or sometime next week.

If you look at the CXS64 they dont say backorder, they say they will ship in 1 day where as the CXS2 DO say backorder. Im guessing that maybe they really are on factory backorder. I see what your saying, but if that was true then wouldnt they all say the same thing...idk...if I get to listen to them anytime soon and like them then I will just buy them and even if they are still on backorder, ill just wait untill they come back in stock. The guy said the sale will be going on for a while longer so im hoping I will make my decision before they go off sale.

Let us know what you think after you install them this weekend

could the the 6.5 chameleons take 200w? i wouldn't mind saving a few bucks and getting a zx4000 and the 2 ohm versions and running them a 200 a side vs. buying the 4 ohm and getting the zx6000

Ive read that as long as you are carefull with the gains then they should be fine. I am only going to run about 125 to them if I end up getting the CXS.

I'm installing my ID 3 way set this weekend. CXS52's and IDQ8's being powered off a Xtant A4004 until my DLS gets here. I'll try to post a review after they're in.

My Set up is Exactly the same but with IDQ12's and ARC AMPS

I almost pondered going with IDQ8's for Pure SQ...so I am very curious on your opinion on the set up...

BTW...How Many Watts are you gonna have powering the CXS52's?????

size of the sub in no way will make or break the sq of a system unless it is impropperly done

I'm going to be using the IDQ's as midbass. I'm going to try to run them from 50hz-200hz and then get a ID12 for the small gap that's left. I'll be sending 80w to the CSX's and the IDQ's. I know I have them underpowered, but I'm hoping they'll still sing.
