Good luck... I had a set of RE RE6.5's in my grand am and they had sick amounts of mid bass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

well i dont know what it is cause mine hardly have any. my friends alpine type s coaxial speakers have more midbass than the re re's

I have the Chameleon 7" components in my rear doors and they are absolutely stunning. Great clarity, very smooth sound without being too harsh, and they get PLENTY loud if you choose. Oh, and the Midbass is great if you put them in an enclosure or an IB.

I heard the alpine X's and actually preferred the Chameleons as well as the MB Quarts that I have in my front doors over them.

You really just need to hear them all and see what your ears would like best and consider what would sound best in your vehicle.

Let us know what you get.

i agree about having to hear them but the problem is, i went to all the shops around here and no one has heard of ID and for the alpines, they either dotn have them or dont have them setup to listen to. so i gotta go by reccomendations.

I cant speak for others but Koda Comps get my vote. Although I think they are in the process of a revamp for the comps set, so I would wait to see what they have to offer.

But people seem to like the IDs, and Rainbow - stuff look into those if your still in the market.

hey george, NO SHOP around you will have them. i heard them in a friend's scion xB, believe me they are SICK. I woulda really gotten them if i wanted to dish out an extra hundred dollars. personally i'm still happy with my EF's though I haven't heard RE's, what i gathered before I made my purchase several months ago was that the EF combo with teh tw-25s would be better so that's what i got. He is running more power to his id's than i am to my cdt's so my judgment isn't the most impartial. i assure you won't be disappointed. i've never heard type x's...they're morels right?

Yea, I need to call ID on Monday to see if they have any dealers in GA. I WANT to hear the CXS, but if there are no dealers that would be hard.

George: Same thing goes for me with the type Xs, all the places that can get them dont keep them in stock, or if they do, they dont have them hooked up to the soundboard.

All ive listened to so far have been the Boston Pro60s (i liked them, but they are more expensive and it would cost even more for an amp to power thoose adequately) and the MB Quart PCE (they were ok, I think I still liked the Bostons better).

Im going to check out another shop next weekend to see if I can listen to the TypeXs and if im lucky try and find an ID dealer around me, or maybe someone in the area that has a set of the CXS that I could listen to. Right now I am leaning towards the ID mainly because of the 2 ohm thing. Also, they are on sale right now at SoundDomain 15% off AND FREE shipping, so they are ~$305 shipped, w/ warranty. Even the EBAY prices dont beat that once you factor in shipping.
