Alpine Type x vs. ID CTX65cs

I've got an older set of Type X 6.5's in my car right now (SPX-177R) that I managed to wreck the tweets on. I'm running them off a Kicker SX600.2 set at 125w per channel. they figure it was due to playing primarily mp3's... I can get a set of replacement tweets for 150 or I can get a set of the ID CTX65cs's for $30 more. I haven't been really happy with the type x's a little shy of volume for me especially in the mid's. Would I get an improvement going to the ID's in your opinions?

I am using the ID CTX65 comps and they sound just awesome. Very nice punchy midbass, detailed and natural sounding mids with smooth tweeters.

I would get a set of raw tweeters and splice them in if it were me, something like a Seas Neo, Morel MDT-12, etc. But if you want to switch up, go with the IDs. Used to run a set and liked them quite a bit, although I don't care what comp set you get it will be tough to match what you can get with a good raw tweeter.

I'm not quite ready to swap them out just yet, I need to get something to replace them first...

But if you want feel free to send me an offer. I'm guessing shipping would cost me about $35 to the US
