Both of these subs are sq based, the alpine is probly more of a sq sub but still is decent with spl and pretty loud, and the Rockford is a mix of probly 60% sq and 40% spl or loudness but thats just my guess. Does anyone have any info on which one would be a better sub for sq, spl, loudness, durability, etc... And which box type to go with for either sub, sealed or ported/vented?

T2 would probably be a better mixture of SQ and loud out of those two. If that's your main goal id look into the Incriminator Audio Death Row over both of the subs you listed.

I would just go with a ported box tuned from 32 hz. - 35 hz.
