gonna be running a single 12" sealed behind the center console in a 06 Ram reg. cab. the type x would be running off the mrd 1005 or one of the new pdx stackable amps. the flatline would be running off 800w from my usamps xt2000d.

going for a sq based system that will still get loud when neccessary. what would you guys go with?

type X no question....way better sub in SQ....built better......al around better sub...i haave two for sale if ur interested

Have you ever owned an Arc Flatine? Have you ever heard one? Do you know what buildhouse they come from?

The Type X is a great sub, but cannot touch a Flatine which is essentially a refined IDMAX when it comes to SQ. It's far more musical. As for build quality, I'll let you do some research before you continue spreading ignorance.

Think. before you speak.

i've heard nothing but good about the ARC, while i see a lot of type x's for sale and lots of complaints about how power hungry they are plus sometimes a lack of output. it will probably be a few months before i get the system together so maybe i should wait on the idmax v4?

Funny how your response leads to a potential sale //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Spam FTW!!

BTW, you are kind of wrong too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Joe, as we have discussed before.....I think that a Flatline is an excellent choice!!!

Just disregard kotec123's comments. Not exactly the most knowledgeable folk on this forum. Examples:

Of your two options I vote with this man. Got the pleasure of hearing a singe 12" flat liner with 500w in an extended cab s-10 the other day. Very nice sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol my bad...ill admit ive herd one flatline ....was sealed in 2cf iirc...with 700 ish watts to it...wasnt impressive...but yea sorry?

it was the install, because the flatline is the superior woofer. even if it dosen't have a CF dustcap that gives it x293 dbzzz
