Alpine Type X. Vifa made mids and tweets and the passives are some of the most versatile on the market.

The Type-Xs look pretty nice. I just can't find any local dealers that sell them so I can hear them.

Go with the Type X comps. They cost less, have one of the best xovers ever created, plus the mids and tweets are of the Vifa XT line. For the money, you will not find a better and more tunable set of comps IMO.

I didn't have to listen to them. Memphis makes nice products, but compare the specs and features of the two. Alpine Type X FTW.

Yes...I have listened to both...in fact I sell Both here at my shop, the Type Xs will walk all over the Memphis MSQs. /Thread

wow, I didnt realize they were that good of a speaker. What specifically is better about the X's over the MSQs ? I'm kind new to components as far as specifics. I do like that the MSQs have a carbon fiber cone and silk dome tweeters.

if there's a big price differance id go with the cheape rone, if they're close to the same get the alpines......
