would this be a good sub to buy to cram some power in the back of my extended cab chevy s10? ive got a max of around 3cuft of space for a box, but i want to get the most sq and spl possible in there for under 800 bucks (sub and amp). any other sugestions or is this a good one to buy?

I'm personally wicked pissed off at mine

I have an swx-1042d

To me, it doesn't sound amazing, but this may be due to my setup

the previous owner also ran 1000 watts to just ONE voice coil :|

so I dunno, maybe it's just my sub, but the advantages is that the recommended box size is very small, .5-1 cu ft for sealed and i think .75-1.5 vented

they look nice too, the cone is wicked solid

they ARE having a new line of type X come out though, the swx-1032 and 1232, the cones will be lighter so the sub is more efficient, therefore louder, in case you want to wait

hmm thanks for the heads up on the new cone, i'll definatly consider that.

the heavy cone does help with the low end grunt of the sub however

Indeed it is a low monster. Loves the lows. Especially in a sealed box. Sorry if i'm a lil late.
