I really need some help, here is what I got: 05 Dodge Magnum and currently installed an IVA-W205, 4 Alpine SPR-69LP, 3.5" Stock Bostons all running off of the deck, it sounds ok,but distorts pretty bad at high volumes and I really do like to listen to my music loud! I plan on putting in a pair of 10" subs in the back so bass really isnt an issue with the speakers, just want to be able to turn em up loud and clear, which doesnt seem like its going to work off the radio power, so I ordered an MRP-F450 (70x4RMS) and plan on running the front door 6x9s and a new set of 3.5" dash speakers off the amp and leave the rears hooked up to the deck....Someone told me that the alpine sps-69c3s would be better for me because they are a 3-way and will be richer and louder, but Ive also read lots of great reviews about the Pioneer Revs so I need help on what to do, Im trying to find a good set of 3.5" dash speakers then the door speakers I have to choose between the Type S, Type Rs, and Pioneer Revs What do u guys think?

Amp the 6x9's you have now to see what kind of difference it makes.

Don't worry about running the 3.5s as they aren't going to do anything for your soundstage unless you plan to put together a 3-way front stage.

If the SPR-69LP's aren't to your liking after amping, then maybe just a nice set of 6.5 comps amped up front and maybe the 6x9s off HU power in the rear?

I was just looking into getting the loudest combo, the reason I like the 3.5 full ranges in the dash is I like having the extra drivers to give me full sound in the front of me and to the sides of me whereas the 6x9s in the doors seem to just be on the sides of the head...I have a set of Pioneer Revs sitting around that are available to use and was just thinking if they were a better speaker I might as well install them while I am running wires into the doors but on the same token as stated above, I could just try the R's amped since they are already installed...I just want to make sure I get the loudest setup I can...

I think my big debate now is to say screw it and get a set of 6.5" Type R Components in there instead of doing the coax's do you think volume wise the components will exceed the coaxs?

I'd do some REV or PRS comps before I'd do the R's. The new ('07 model) R's have amazing high end accuracy, but the midbass and midrange is a little lacking, IMO.

Well Im just going at what I can get easily from work, We have the REV 6x9s in stock and the Type R Components as well as the Image Dynamics Chameleon 6.5s....Ive always been an SPL nut so this stuff is all new to me and havent really got to listen to a loud/decent sounding system...Ive pretty much decided I have to get an amp to get the volume I want but cant decide on speakers....

The REV comps are almost always a safe choice. And if you don't like them, they won't be hard to get rid of. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yeah I know Id have to order them if I can find a connection through our distributor where I have 2 sets of Type R comps sittin in stock so thats why Id rather use those and have a full Alpine system...Another question is, would you recommend putting the tweeters in the dash or into the sail panels/door panels?

By all means then, give it a whirl. Trying out new things is half the fun of car audio! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Well I went ahead and bought a new set of type R components SPR-17s now I just have to decide on my amp, I was planning on doing a MRP-F450 (70x4) but I could also do a Sundown Audio 100.2 on the comps and leave the rears off of the head unit or do a Sundown 100.4 and amp everything, I think the 100.2 on the SPR-17s and the SPR-69LP coaxs off of the deck would be a pretty nice setup...

I dont know about the comp, but in the coax department the REVs own the Alpines, my first coax where the type S, then i get the Type R sound better but not a big thing, then i get the REVs and this are louder and sounds a lot better, thats the closest you'll get to a comp with a coax, they sound better than almost all cheap comps.
