Alpine Type S coaxial

I can get 4 of them (2 pair) of 5x7 (6x8) for a really good deal. I would put them in my 02 Explorer (would they fit?). I will be having a P400-4 or JL 300/4 powering them. How would they do? How do they sound? Worth getting for under $100. Thanks alot guys.

Sounds good for the money. I used to run type S some years ago in my mitsubishi eclipse. They did just fine.

5x7 does fit in an explorer right? do I need a crossover or something if I have a p400-4?

I had a pair of 5.25" Type-S speakers in my door before putting in my rsd's. They sounded pretty good for the price.
