Very true

I have used both and the Type R has very satisfying SQ and good SPL while the L7 gets louder and doesn't sound as great. I currently own the L7 and all of my setups have been sealed. I would go with L7s if doing 15s because its seems like you want to go all out. 2 12s or 1 15, my recommendation would be Type R hands down for a more conservative setup

j/k bud, umm i went Type-R's because i heard L7's are a little easier to blow, and Type-R's can take quite a bit more power than rated. Then again, i have heard plenty of good things about L7's

I have blown plenty of Type Rs and no L7s and mine handles well over rated just fine as do many others. So the 2 are similar in those aspects

Check the classifieds... you can get a set of used Rl-p's and be much happier for about the same price as buying a set of new l7's or type-r's.
How would you know if you just bought one? Have you heard one in person?
