you could prolly find one a little cheaper on ebay.

and i usually depends mostly on the install (box size, box tuning, etc.)

and depends on how many watts your giving them

You might we able to find one a little bit cheaper but not much cheaper. You can get 2 for around $230.

no, dont use a boss amp, and yes, given optimal conditions, 2 type r's will be louder than 1 type x.

The right enclosure...look up the specs for the sub x that by 2 and put 500-750 watts rms to both of them...thats it.

put them in at least 3 cubes tuned to around 32, youll be happy

Id look at something other than boss. and two r's are going to compare simiraly to a single type x IMO

Everyone seems misinformed... The type-x is a sound quality sub. A single type-r will get as loud as a single type-x in optimum circumstances, but the type-r will sound like poop compared to the type-x.
