Alpine Type R vs 06 KickerL7

Just as the title says.

I am dow to these two subs and they fit my budget correctly ($208 per Type R and $212 per 06 L7)

I listen to lots of rap/ganster rap and I like to listen to it LOUD!!!

SPL is what I am after but I don't want to sound like *** either.

I wll be using a Lanzar Opti2000D wired to 1ohm at 14.4v for 1692w RMS (847w per sub) and a custom dual 12" vented enclosure.

Which will do me the best?

Two 12" 06 Kicker L7 4ohm DVC

or

Two 12" Alpine SWR142D's?

You can get the type r's at a much lower price than that. Ebay should have some good deals.

Were did you consider buying those subs at?

type r are EASILY found for 250 for 2 12" SHIPPED on ebay BNIB......for 2 of them

i say go for 2 type r twelves for 250 shipped is an unbeatable setup

OOOPS...My bad,I meant two 15" Type R's not the 12" ones but I did mean two 12" 06 Kicker L7's.

Price isn't the matter for these two subs as the 15" Type R's and the two 12" L7's are in the same price range.

The 15" Type R is $208 per sub and the 06 12" L7 is $212 per sub.

Even though these two subs are in the same price range this is not about which will be the best bang for my buck but which will get loudest,deepest and give me an eartquake of bass.

Even though the Alpine SWR154D 15" Type R's ar rated 1000w RMS and have an Xmax of like 18.1mm and the 06 12" Kicker Solo-Baric L7's have less Xmax like 14.1mm and a Vas of 65.5 liters and a higher Fs the the Type R's I simply still don't know what to get.

2 15's vs 2 12's, you'd be hardpressed to get the L7's to be as loud as the R's.

Both require large boxes, so take that into account too.

Type r is a Db louder than the L7 but the type r dosent sound as good as a street beater as the l7 does

if u got 2 15" type R and a tcab box then the type r would take the l7's....but i would take type r regardless of tcab or not....

agreed. if your willing to go the extra mile and get a tcab box go type r. but if not i say go kicker ftw.
