Alpine Type R voice coil issues

Hey guys, new to the forum. I was into car audio a couple years ago, but my car was wrecked and the replacement I got at the time was a beater that I kept for a year to save for a new car

Anyways, just got a new car and am wanting to rebuild. I still have one of my 2011 alpine type r sub's, but one of the voice coils doesn't seem to be working, its not putting out any sound at all, while the other coil is working just fine. Does this mean the silent voice coil is fried?

I have an old 2009 type r that I will use until I figure this issue out but I love the 2011 model and really want it to be fully functional again so any tips or info would be much appreciated!

PS: I did use the google machine and didn't get any hits matching my info

I'm going to say yes. You could put a dmm to it if you want a real answer.
