alpine type r subwoofers

wuts up with all of the hate towards these subwoofers??? i used to have 2 15's type R and they pounded!!! i mean i know they aren't the best subwoofer but they can be found for $200 shipped. are they just not worth it or what? how do they compare to other $200 dollar subs? why all the hate?

i dont think anyone hates them.... i think its just cus they are everywhere and everyone asks questions about them when there are plenty of other great subs out there.

definitely good for the money, i had 2 twelve and they sounded pretty good off of a bxi2006d

and i only paid like 270 for them shipped.

They really perform for the $$. People have done great scores with them.

Not musical at all.

There are about a half-dozen other drivers I'd choose in that price bracket before I'd buy one.
