alpine type-r comps

Hi all,

I am in the market for component speakers (6.5") and was thinking of the Type-R from alpine spr-176A. What do you guys think? Are they one of the better ones out there or can I do better for their price range? What are your recommendations and past experience with these speakers?

I had a chance to listen to them and was impressed by the sound seperation they had. The guy at the store was trying to sell me the Type-S comps for some reason even though they were cheaper and I showed that I liked the Type-R's!!! STRANGE!!!

Also, do you know of any reputable online-store that sells the Type-R's?

If you heard them, and you liked how they sounded, then go for them. They are pretty decent speakers.
