I don't think that 1 12 can handle 1200rms... I'm sure it would take it, but it wouldn't like it.... From what I have read and understand... a single R (new series) can handle about 750-900rms daily w/ the right enclosure and the gains set correctly and all other bass enhancement's turned off. I have my 10" type r on 1 ohm on my ap15001d. I just keep the gain down. Besides, if op is like most people here than he will want to upgrade later on. Or that way he will have the option of adding a 2nd sub without having to worry about selling his sweet visonik amp, and then buy a new one.

u would be a FOOL to grab a visonik amp for any quality sub...and the cvx=type r imo...obviously ppl are gonna disagree...but ive had both and i personally like my cvx better...anybody thats seen them knows the arghss sq is awful compared to the cvx

which subs just depends on the amp you choose, and what you plan to do later. if you know your going to upgrade subs get the higher power ampnow and just keep your gains set right. but if you stay at the 600w rms range the type r will sound better, imo, than a cvx,

Id say an RE SE/x would be comparable to a type R. And a decent budget amp would be an MB Quart dsc mono of some sorts imo. There are however, many other comparable products as well.

Get one Dual 4 Type R, the Audiopipe amp...

Wired at 2 ohms, the R would get 950rms, if you watch the gain it would be fine....

Then if upgrade to another R, Get another Dual 4, wire them together to 1 ohm and throw the entire 1500rms to them and i guarantee it will be loud and still be rather cheap....
