Alpine Type R and JBL 600.1

I have a 12" DVC Alpine Type R hooked up with a JBL 600.1 amp, I wat to know if the sub can handle a 2 ohm load. Which I think is 600w, when the RMS for Type R is only 300w?

Any help would be great.

That amp will be fine. The max power rating is 1000watts.

I'm not sure on the cubic feet of my box, but its a smaller one with the back of it like a hatch-back, its slopes down. If you know what size that is, approximately, please let me know.
