Alpine Type-R.....2 ohm or 4 ohm DVC?

i will be using alpine type r's in y next setup. a pair of them. my Q is, would i be better off getting 2 2ohm DVC or 2 4ohm DVC drivers? basically, i am looking at the fact that if i go with the 2ohm version, i will able to wire to a .5ohm load. versus the 4 ohm version, where i can only go to 1 ohm. this will also affect the future, when i may decide to get a third or even fourth sub. which one would i be better off with?

BTW, the amp i will be powering these with is a PowerAcoustic A3000DB.

do whatever will fit your needs now or in the future

That amp is not stable down to a half ohm load... So if you go that route you will damage your equipment.

Decide for yourself.

^yeah

go with the 4 ohm versions so you can get a 1ohm load. if you had a half ohm stable amp, go with 2 ohm versions to get the most outta them

ok thanks for the info, guys. i didn't think the PA amp was stable down to .5 ohm, but i wasn't sure. thanks for covering my ***! so i will go with the D4 type-r, @ 1ohm. that should be enough power for those anyway.
