alpine type-r 15 vs 2 re se 10

i currently have a alpine type-r running at about 800 watts im planning my next system and i was thinking 2 re se 10 running at like 1100 to 1200 watts.

what would be louder? im thinking the 2 re se 10s would b/c there is more cone area and more power or do you think i should just get diff. 15 and run it at 1000 to 1200 watts? opinions suggestions?

Why not put 1000 to 1200 watts to the type-r?

i didnt think it would handle that much and my type r is dual 4 since the amp that i just sold did rated at 2 ohms and the one i am buying does rated at 1 ohm. so i was getting ideas for a new set up and i am wanting to try something new for decently cheap since i am unemployed right now. i can get 2 re se 10s for cheap

nope i just sold the amp i still have the r

but it has no logos now just a silver cone

and i thought that 2 10's had more cone area then 1 15 sorry i figure 10x2=20 15x1=15 20>15 but i guess i was wrong im still a lil new but not horribly new

common mistake actually...dont feel bad.

yeah... we have TONS of people on here who can't calculate cone area
