I am buying two of them to replace the kickers that i have at the moment. I have the Kicker ZX400.1 Amp that is 2 Ohm stable. The Type R's have a dual 2 Ohm voice coil configuration, or a 4 Ohm Configuration. Which would be better to buy and would there be a certain way i would need to wire them up? Thanks for the help. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

They will run fine with the amp, they just wont be pushed near as hard as they can be. lol. I was thinking the double 4 ohm set up would be better also.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldnt that be a 2 ohm load if i wired the d4 in parallel?

Oh, by the way, the Kicker pushes 485 watts @ 2 ohm so it'll be gettin some power lol. not a whole lot

If you're buying TWO alpine type Rs, you would need the d2 config to get a final load of 2 ohms. If you're buying one, then you'll need the d4. But either way, your going to be underpowering them, specially if you get two....
