Hey, I got two 12" type R subs 2 ohm with a Kenwood X1200M 1200 Watt. Anyways had the subs a little less than two weeks, and now they are rattling. Like there was a little rattle before in the car, but now the subs are rattling.

What could the problem possibly be? going to EHR tomorrow anyways, get them to look at it. Have warranty, so if its big deal, they will replace.

I searched before on the forum and couldn't find anything, but then on google found a thread on here, and had to deal with tinsel rub, or something like that. Guy had same subs as me.

Edit: What exactly is tinsel rub

the tinsel leads are what runs from the voice coil to the connections on the sub.

Sometimes when not properly adhesed and high excursion @ low freqencies can cause the tinsels to hit either on the top or the bottom making a very annoying sound.

search tinsel lead slap for more info

Well I think I figured out the problem. And the problem is my box is shit. It is leaking so it was causing funny sounds. Also my car has started to loosen up from all the vibrations, so i am going to get a new box built, and also get sound proofing for the trunk.
