Item(s) for Sale:

Alpine Type R 12" Subwoofer. Dual voice coil, 1000watt peak, 4 ohms

Boss PH3000 Class D mono block amp

Custom hatch box (fit in my 3000gt). Wood with cloth coating it. Unported, fits 1 12" sub.

Item(s) Description/Condition:

Subwoofer is in excellent condition. Only used for a year and never abused.

Boss Amp also is in good shape, it is the weakest link in the system, it is loud but the sub could handle more power than the amp could put out. This is also why the sub is in such great shape. Also has a remote controller to adjust bass levels from amp.

Box is also in great shape. No damage or stains. Feels really solid. You could even port the side if you would like.

PM me for pictures. Like I said, never abused and in fantastic condition.

In today's market my sub retails for $148, the amp is $109, and the box was $50

That is $200 in savings! It is a great easy set up for beginners.

Price:

$100 for the bundle. Sold as a set only. Indiana purchases get the $100. If I have to ship it is not free. I also will not budge on price. The only reason I am selling it is for extra cash for my turbo build. I am also tired of towing it around and I am not really into loud bass anymore.

Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information:

Shipping costs apply. I live in Bloomington, Indianapolis, Fishers, or Noblesville. Any other locations outside of that will need to either meet me or pay shipping.

Item Pictures:

(List pictures in this section, 1st picture should be your username/date if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks with the i-Trader system or less than 10 references that you have sold to in the past. (These must be listed in your signature, or a link provided to a feedback thread listing these references)).

That is a reason why america is ****? What?

I am not sure what that means, also I didn't touch those dials because I was unsure of what they did, so factory settings. I had the sub set to +4 on my head unit, remote for amp unplugged, and volume around 8-12 due to a weak alternator that would shut my system off if I didn't turn it down past 6 at stop lights. It was not abused.
If that amp was shutting your car off that sub is not doing to good.

Should I have included a picture of all of the oil spilled on my alternator too? What does that even have to do with the sub? If it is over drawing power the amp or head unit will reset. The sub has nothing to do with it? The sub's voice coils look great and nothing is burnt? If my amp only gave off 400 watts and type R's are known to be power hungry why would my sub be not doing to good? It still works just fine.

The reason why it is not good to have a small crappy amp is because you'll have the tendency to crank the gains up, which will distort the signal, in turn it could blow or damage the subwoofer.

BTW the rules are to post pics with your username and today's date on a piece of paper with your item. This proves that you have the item in possession and that it is not just a stolen picture from someone on the internet. Also, a video showing that it works would be helpful as well. There are too many scammers these days so people are skeptical regardless of what you say. For all we know, you could be one of those scammers out to take our money and run away with it.

In a nut shell clipping is when the amp is drawing more power than the car can produce resulting in a extremely distorted or clipped signal to you sub wich intern destroys your sub and usually the amp as well. If you 400 watt amp is shutting g of your car the. Something is seriously wrong with your car. It also means that your amp and sub are being abused in the worst ways possibal. The quickest destroyer of car audio is distortin due to low power. Also dot try to be a d**k at all just trying to inform you man

I understand now about the picture rules but I did say to PM me and I gave out my location. I have been buying TT parts for the past two years from forum members and I understand what it is like to get ripped off. I also forgot I had the pictures on my computer and it was 1am when I was posting. But I would have obviously provided pictures and a sound clip before selling electronics. I myself don't even buy used electronics.

It didn't shut the car off just the system if I put the volume too high. I turned a switch on the amp to kill the power if there were spikes, it has a switch. But it still works to this day just fine.

Sorry about them... your right and they should have posted the fouem rules for you but some ppl are just to lazy.
It is my fault too, I came in here not being too serious about the rules because I thought I would get quick answers and leave. I should not have been so hasty, it was late and I have midterms in college I have been fretting over this week. I would just like to apologize to everyone on here if I seemed like a jerk. I was trying to be honest with what I had, gave my location, and told to PM for serious inquiries. It just rubbed me the wrong way when everyone was thinking I was schamming them or selling them crap.

So what is a fair price for that bundle? I am probably just going to sell it on Craingslst but I do not want to rip anyone off if the amp is really that bad. So should I just sell the sub and box and scrap/recycle the amp if that's a thing?

The rules thing is simple. You agreed to them when you signed up. I can understand missing them, but after you've been told repeatedly and still don't do so...

Secondly, for you to be having the power problems you're having from having the volume that low you seriously need to get the car checked. Judging by that, I would agree with most people that the amp and sub have been abused. Maybe unknowingly, but abused nonetheless. ALso, judging by your terminology and whatnot, I would also agree with them about being abused. Nothing against you, it is just the nature of the beast until you become educated on everything.

If you let these guys get under your skin so quick then it is going to be a long road ahead. I understand being stressed, I am studying for a midterm as I'm typing this (and I guarantee your school isn't nearly as hard as mine) so you just gotta chill.

People on here know what is good and what isn't. The sub if proven to be working and in good shape could certainly sell. The amp has no chance of being sold on here. Will it work for your typical CL shopper though? Hell yes. So CL is your best shot at it being sold as a bundle or getting rid of the amp.

I mean how often do you read the rules and terms of conditions of things? Plus I was only really going to post one thing and leave so I didn't care about the rules that much. I know how forums work. And as for schooling I bet mine is harder, I'm a sophmore at IU in the Kelly School of Business which is a ranked business school. As for people getting under my skin I would say you all won. I think everything in this thread should be wrapping up. I broke the rules, my amp is ****, and craigslist it is.

Point is you still didn't follow them after we told you. It was honestly an attempt to help you out....

As for schooling... I go to one of the most elite liberal arts school in the nation (Centre College) so I still think I got you beat on that... There's a reason they call it the "Harvard of the South"

Well good for you man, I hope you do well and finish your degree. But the Kelly School is ranked 21 in the country for business, seeing as Carnegie Mellon is 18th and Cornell is 17th. Also, I still really don't care about the rules at this point. Anyways good luck on your midterms, I'm out of here.
