Ok - as far as I know - From best to worst; X R S E G - Now I read somewhere that 'Type L' is the same as 'Type E'. This Bassengine unit I have is similar to a Type E just that is has two coils instead of the one. In the attached pic; you can see the socket on this side of the bassengine where an audio plug locks into it.
