I had 2 type e 12's in a divided sealed box in an extended cab f-150 and they could get pretty loud. nothing extremely loud, but ok. I think the circuit city down here is offering them at like 150 bucks for a pair of 12's, so you could get like 8 of them and a bunch of little amps and go to town lol
They are single voice coil, 200w rms, 600 max. I had a profile california series pushin about 185w continuous to each and they did pretty well.
I have 2 type r 10's now, and 2 700w class d alpine amps. needless to say, they are tons louder than the type e's ever dreamed of being.
