Alpine Type E?

P.S.: Not planning on purchasing one, just curious. I am still totally satisfied with my 12W0!

alpine has 3 series...the Type-S...Type-R, then the Type-X i'm probably gonna pick up 6.5" type-r components in the front and type-r 6.5" 2-ways for the rear. then gonna pick up some alpine v12 amps.

i never new that they had type E subs ontill i looked in the add. But if your going to get alpine subs then step up to the Type S or Type R.

just get a type r and stay with it. i have one 12 right now pushing 560 watts and it's insane. great sub...nice tight bass...very clean. just go with the R so you don't have to waste money and change subs. always get what you want...even if it costs more...it's cheaper than buying low end...then upgrading

Yeah I have heard of type E, I believe I saw them in a Cruthfield magazine and at Circuit City.

I have heard two alpine type e's running off of a crossfire tek50.2 amp and i thought they sounded really good... especially for the price. But i have two alpine type r's so i have to defintely say mine sound alot better. Another thing is your going to need more power to a type r than you would to a type e

subs - type e, s, and r

speakers - type s, r, and x

Big Stores like the two above buy in such bulk that they are often given special model numbers. Same thing with Yamaha products sold at both of those stores. They are often the same as one of their regular models. Check the specs.

The type X is a kick *** sub, a little on the pricey side, but if you got the money then buy two of them!!! There is a guy on here, loudenergy, and he has two type E's and is runnin a 300rms amp, in a 94 civic and hes hittin 145.4.... so i geuss they can get preaty loud..... But i do like the type R, i think its a quality sub for the price.. and it looks preaty shnazzy too...

Type X's are not a boom boom sub, purely a SQ sub.
